HCL Technologies Ltd., one of India's top five software exporters, said Monday it has received an outsourcing order worth $200 million from the UK's Equitable Life Assurance Society for processing and support activities.The contract, which will start in March 2011, will be executed through HCL IBS, a UK-based life and pensions insurance administration business unit of HCL Technologies, the Indian company said in a statement.
The outsourcing contract could help Equitable Life reduce its provision for future costs by more GBP100 million, the statement said.
